Referrals
When land outside the City of Fernie boundary is proposed to be rezoned for development, the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) works with the City of Fernie Planning and Development department to ensure any concerns are brought forward and considered by the RDEK Board of Directors as part of their decision-making process.
The RDEK communicates with the Planning and Development department through a Referral Process, allowing the City of Fernie to comment on any proposed RDEK zoning bylaw amendments.
Referral responses provided to the RDEK regarding zoning amendment bylaws are available for viewing online here.
