School District 5 Facilities
The City of Fernie and School District 5 have a Joint Use Agreement which allows the City to book the facilities at Fernie Secondary School and Isabella Dicken School for community groups. These facilities are available to the City to book during non-school hours.
The following facilities are available for rental:
Fernie Secondary School (FSS)
Gym
Non/Commercial/Local: $23.55/hour
Commercial/Non-Local: $47.11/hour
*additional custodian fees may apply
Weekend bookings will require SD5 custodial staff support and result in an additional charge to the renter ($30/hour).
Field
Non/Commercial/Local: $11.22/hour
Commercial/Non-Local: $22.43/hour
Isabella Dicken Elementary School (IDES)
Gym
Non/Commercial/Local: $23.55/hour
Commercial/Non-Local: $47.11/hour

Facility rental requests must be approved by the SD5 School Board before the rental permit is created. Note the availability of these facilities are very limited and the timeline for approval from SD5 varies.
