Description:

Auxiliary Firefighter is a paid on-call position which involves a wide range of responsibilities including: Fire suppression, Medical Aid and Rescue .

Auxiliary Firefighters assist in responding to the following emergencies:

  • Wildland interface and structural fires
  • Medical Aid (along with BC Ambulance)
  • Motor vehicle incidents
  • Confined space rescue
  • High angle rope rescue
  • Swift water rescue
  • Ice rescue
  • Hazardous materials incidents
