The Corporation of the City of Fernie (the City) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to explore options to maintain two independent, sustainable water sources for the City. This analysis will be divided into two phases of work:
Phase 1:
- Increase our understanding of the risks to our drinking water safety and availability at the City’s secondary water source, the James White Park Wells, and
- Provide conceptual solutions and Class D cost estimates for construction, operations & maintenance to ensure the City can maintain two sources currently, and in the future.
Phase 2:
- The successful Proponent will be asked to develop the chosen solution to detailed design.
Due to the wide range of possible solutions, the successful Proponent will be requested to provide a proposal for the Phase 2 design work at the end of Phase 1. Should the successful Proponent be unable to offer the necessary specializations to fulfill the Phase 2 design work, or unable to procure a sub-consultant to support, the Phase 2 portion of the work will not be required to be initiated.
Firms are recommended to check BC Bid for all addenda. No addenda will be posted on this site.
