Notice of Zoning Bylaw Amendment - Bylaw No. 2549

Pursuant to Section 467 of the Local Government Act, the Council for the City of Fernie is prohibited from holding a public hearing and hereby gives notice that they will consider first, second and third reading of Amendment Bylaw No. 2549, 2026, zoning and text amendments to Zoning Bylaw No. 1750, at a Regular Meeting of Council on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fernie Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre located at 562 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC V0B 1M0. Council meetings are available for all members of the public to attend or watch electronically via a Zoom webinar link posted to the City of Fernie website prior to each meeting. Council meetings can also be viewed via a YouTube live stream from the City of Fernie YouTube page. Please visit www.fernie.ca/meetings for more information.

A copy of the proposed amendments to Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 and other relevant documents may be viewed on our “Latest News” page on the City website at www.fernie.ca and in person at City Hall, located at 501 3rd Avenue, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.

Pursuant to the Local Government Act, the City of Fernie must not hold a public hearing for the proposed bylaw amendments as the proposed bylaw complies with Section 464(4)
