Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing has been scheduled for TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers at Fernie City Hall, located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie BC so that Council may hear representations from persons who believe their interest in property is affected by a proposed amendment to Zoning Bylaw No. 1750.
LOCATION: 1509 - 9th Avenue
PURPOSE: The proposed bylaw amendment will add the following to the list of permitted uses in the CS1 – Service Commercial Zone (Section 4.2.15 of Bylaw 1750): .23 in addition to the permitted uses herein, on Lots 9 and 10, Block 126, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan 902, 1502 – 9th Avenue only, two dwelling units located above the first storey of the building.
The applicant wishes to renovate and commission two previously non-conforming dwelling units that exist above the Service Commercial building located at 1502 – 9th Avenue (formerly the “Crystal Glass” building). In order to do this, the applicant requires that dwelling units are a permitted use at the subject property.
