Purpose: To vary the minimum required side yard setback of Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 to allow for consideraton of future subdivision of the parcel as follows: 

  • Section 4.2.3.4 side yard setback from 3.81m to 2.13m

Public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider Development Variance Permit No. 443 at the regular meeting to be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers

Location: 441 - 1st Avenue
Purpose: To vary the off-street parking regulations by reducing the number of required parking stalls as set out in Part 5 of the City of Fernie Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 as follows:

  • Zero off-street parking spaces need to be provided for any permitted Commercial Uses at the subject location; and
  • One off-street parking space needs to be provided for every dwelling unit at the subject location rather than two off-street parking spaces for every dwelling unit 

A proposed multi-use development on the site will result in the requirement of 11-13 off-street parking spaces and a conditional 11-13 bicycle parking spaces.
