Family Safety Day

Fernie Fire Rescue and the East Kootenay Emergency Management Program have teamed up to host the 2026 Family Safety Day. This year the event will be held on Saturday May 9 as part of Emergency Preparedness Week, helping families prepare at the start of our local emergency season. 

The event is free and open to all. The Salvation Army will be doing a barbeque (by donation) and there will be games for the kids, giveaways, and more! 

Saturday May 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on City Hall grounds, 501 3rd Avenue, Fernie B.C.
