National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The City of Fernie is honoured to be joining Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi ‘it Administration for a flag raising ceremony on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

 September 30 is a day to honour the children who never returned home, the Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, and the the inter-generational impacts of residential schools.

 The public is invited to join us and Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi ‘it for this important reconciliation event taking place at City Hall from 10am-11am on September 30.
