Property Taxes Due
July 4, 2022 (12:00am - 12:00am)
2022 Property Taxes must be paid in full by July 4, 2022 at 5pm MDT, after which time a 10% penalty will be added to any unpaid current year taxes. No exemption from taxation or penalty is conferred by reason of non-receipt of the Property Tax Notice.
City Hall will be open extended hours from 8 am to 5 pm June 27 to 30 and July 4. City Hall will be closed July 1 for Canada Day.
Payment of your property taxes can be made in person at City Hall by cash/cheque/debit, by cheque in the mail or through the mail slot at City Hall, through online banking, or at most financial institutions. Credit cards are not accepted. Post marks on mailed remittances will not be considered as date of payment. Postdated cheques are accepted.
All eligible property owners must complete the Homeowner Grant application every year. Payment or grant claims not received by July 4, 2022 at 5:00 PM MDT are subject to a 10% penalty. Everyone now applies for the homeowner grant directly to the province - online (www.gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant) or by phone (1-888-355-2700).
Please contact City Hall at (250) 423-6817 or email@example.com if you have any questions.
