Water Shutoff and Facility Closure at Fernie Aquatic Centre and Splash Park

Contractors experienced complications during the water service tie in for the Pine Ave Child Care Centre.
Water has been shut off to the Aquatic Centre, splash park, and public washrooms. As a result these facilities are closed to the public. We anticipate reopening tomorrow, July 15 and will provide an update in the morning.
The Water Quality Advisory issued for the Ridgemont neighbourhood related to this service connection remains in place and will be lifted following required water testing.
