Preparing our Parks and Outdoor Amenities for Winter

In preparation for colder weather, the City has started winterizing our parks and outdoor facilities.

Shade sails have been removed from from the Skate Park, Aquatic Centre, and Rotary Park, and the City's public washrooms and drinking fountains will be closed and shut off starting next week to protect our infrastructure from freezing temperatures. The public washrooms at Station Square will remain open over the winter. 

Sports nets will remain in place for as long as weather conditions allow, so residents can continue enjoying our outdoor recreation spaces.
