Place Carts on the Curb by 7 a.m.

To help ensure your cart is collected, please place it at the curb between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. on collection day. Collection times can change from week to week. Even if your cart is typically picked up later in the day, routes may shift due to weather, equipment availability, or operational needs. Having your cart out by 7 a.m. helps ensure your household isn't missed.

SRP has made adjustments to their program to support quality service delivery. A second truck has been added for recycling pickups on Fridays, and they’ve added a labourer to assist with opening locking mechanisms on the organics bins. These changes will help make sure routes are completed in a timely manner, especially as the snow begins to fall and the sun goes down earlier.

The City is working with the original supplier of the organics carts to solve the problem with the bear-resistant lids not opening as intended during collection.
