OCP Update: Round 2 Engagement What We Heard Report
August 14, 2026
The Official Community Plan (OCP) Round 2 Engagement Summary is now available for your review.
Round 2 engagement focused on emerging values and policy directions that will guide the Official Community Plan Update. Building on the foundation established through earlier phases, this stage of the process invited the community, Council, the OCP Task Force, Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it First Nation, and project partners to review and provide feedback on the proposed directions, so that they align with local priorities, reflect shared values, and respond to identified needs.
The City would like to thank everyone who participated in the process for their time and insights. The project team is now reviewing all input received through Round 2 engagement and will use it to help prepare the draft Official Community Plan. The draft will be shared with the community during Round 3 engagement in early 2027, where residents will have the opportunity to review the document and provide feedback before it is finalized and presented to Council for approval.
