Notice of Intent - Partnering Agreement

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Fernie (the “City”) intends to enter into a partnering agreement pursuant to s. 21 and s. 24 of the Community Charter. The agreement would provide assistance to Twin Meadows Animal Rescue Society, Inc. for the provision of services in support of municipal animal control operations from February 27, 2026 through to August 27, 2028.
The City has established a municipal pound located at 1492 Railway Avenue, Fernie, BC, V0B 1M0 and agrees to take on the costs to provide food for animals in the pound or otherwise under the control of the City. Twin Meadows Animal Rescue Society, Inc. may utilize the municipal pound for the provision of services outlined in the Partnering Agreement.
