Licences of Occupation – Patio Licence Program
Notice is given that the Council of the City of Fernie (the “City”) intends to grant a licence of occupation in accordance with s. 26 of the Community Charter.
The licence of occupation will authorize the use of the area listed below for a seasonal curb-side outdoor patio between May 1 and October 15 of each year, for a term of three (3) years commencing May 1, 2026, and expiring October 15, 2028, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the terms. The licence is non-exclusive and does not confer an interest in land.
The proposed disposition is in respect of a portion of municipal land adjacent to the civic address listed below and is subject to the City’s Expansion of Local Business onto Municipal Land and Highways Policy. Details are as follows:
