Notice of Amendment - Council Procedure Bylaw No. 2446

Notice is given under s. 124 of the Community Charter, that the Council of the City of Fernie will consider adopting Amendment Bylaw No. 2544, 2026, a bylaw amending Council Procedure Bylaw No. 2446 at the Regular Council Meeting held at the Fernie Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre, 562 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC V0B 1M0, on March 10, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
The proposed amendment changes the Public Participation Period to balance meaningful public input and support the orderly and efficient conduct of meetings. It also fixes some errors in circular references, typographical errors and adds consistency in the language used in the bylaw. A copy of Amendment Bylaw No. 2544, 2026 may be viewed at City Hall, 501 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC V0B 1M0.
