The City of Fernie is looking forward to Local Government Awareness Week from May 10 to 16! Throughout the week, we will be celebrating the work our staff does to make the community a great place to live. Join us at these events for an opportunity to meet and engage with City staff, the Mayor, and Council members. We hope to see you there!

Equipment Showcase
Tuesday, May 12 | 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. | Prentice Park, 1500 5th Ave.
Stop by Prentice Park on Tuesday, May 12, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., for an Equipment Showcase. Staff will be on site to display the different types of equipment used throughout the municipality and answer your questions about these big machines.

Storytime with the Mayor
Wednesday, May 13 | 11:15 a.m. | Fernie Heritage Library 492 3rd Ave.
Mayor Milligan will be making a special guest appearance at Storytime at the Fernie Heritage Library to share some of his favourite stories. This is a drop-in event, no registration required.

Special Evening Council Café
Thursday, May 14 | 5:00-7:00 p.m. | Fernie Heritage Library 492 3rd Ave.
On Thursday, May 14, Mayor and members of Council will host a Special Evening Council Café in partnership with the Fernie Heritage Library. Stop by for refreshments from 5:00–7:00 p.m.

Free Swim at the Fernie Aquatic Centre
