Curbside Collection Update

The City is working with our new curbside collection contractor, SRP Projects, to address concerns around the timing of cart pickups and missed collections. SRP Projects is also experiencing trouble with carts not opening automatically and are working to find a solution.
With this new service provider, there are also some changes to the collection route and reporting procedures.
- Area 1 collection will start in Maintown, followed by Alpine Trail, Castle Mountain, and Ridgemont.
- Area 2 collection will start in the Annex followed by West Fernie, Cedar Valley, and Mountview.
- SRP is the first contact for residents with questions about cart repairs and replacement, as well as reporting a missed collection. For all inquiries, please contact SRP directly at 250-946-8370 (please leave a voicemail for tracking purposes) or by email at FernieBins@SRPprojects.ca. SRP Projects is tracking reports and will respond by end of day (7:00 p.m.).
We ask that you continue to secure your carts away from wildlife on non-collection days and place your carts on the curb between 5:00 and 7:00 a.m. on your collection days.
