City Launches New Housing and Development Hub

October 9, 2026

The City launched a new Let's Talk Fernie page that brings together updates, resources, and key information on housing and development in one convenient location.

As the City continues to advance initiatives aimed at improving development processes, supporting housing availability, and implementing recommendations from the 2023 Development Approvals Review, the page serves as a central hub for residents to stay informed, learn about ongoing work, and follow our progress.

You can explore major housing and development projects, development approvals enhancement initiatives, and the latest news and updates. The page also links to key documents, plans, and reports related to growth and development in Fernie.
