Category 2 Fire Restrictions in Effect

Effective July 11, 2025, Category 2 burns are prohibited in southeast BC including Fernie and area. The BC Wildfire Service is implementing this prohibition to help prevent wildfires sparked by Category 2 burns and to protect public safety.
