Skatepark Redevelopment Gets Underway

The City’s contractor is breaking ground next week on the skatepark redevelopment project, and the existing skatepark will be closed to the public starting Monday, May 15.

Construction of the new park will take place over the summer months, with project completion expected this fall.

The project is grant-funded, and the final design was created with extensive community feedback gathered over three in-person workshops and online surveys.

Construction fencing will be installed around the site and the public is asked please respect all signage. A temporary skatepark area has been set up in Prentice Park for the community to use while the park is closed for construction.
