Temporary Roadworks on Montane Parkway

The access to Montane from Cokato Road via Montane Parkway is a secondary access / egress road and in accordance with the City of Fernie roads program, secondary egress gravel roads are typically graded once per year and attended to in priority order.
The City of Fernie and Parastone Developments Ltd. have reached an agreement for Parastone to complete grading work on the section of Montane Parkway between Cokato Road and Whitetail Drive.
The work is slated for early April, when frost conditions permit the work, and the section of roadway will be closed to the public while the work is completed.
Parastone is currently advancing the design and approval for the completion of the permanent road structure for this section of Montane Parkway and anticipates that this work will be completed later this construction season
