Mainroad Begins Reconstruction of Coal Creek Road

Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting have announced reconstruction of flood-damaged Coal Creek Road is set to begin on Monday, January 24, 2022. Construction is anticipated to last 5 weeks, taking place from Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00.

 

Mainroad advise area residents may experience traffic delays and single-lane alternating traffic as sections of Coal Creek Road are repaired.

 

A noticeable amount of dump trucks will be present in residential areas during the work hours of 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, hauling road base repair material and rip rap for shore bank reinforcement work.

 

Expect to see traffic control personnel, stockpiles of road base repair material, Do Not Enter Construction Areas. Construction equipment such as tandem trucks hauling road base repair material and excavators placing rip rap material will have a strong presence during the reconstruction of Coal Creek Road.
