Public Notice - Development Variance Permit No. DVP 503

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-503 at a Regular Meeting of Council on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2021, at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3 rd Avenue, Fernie, BC.

To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192. In-person meeting attendance is unavailable at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.

LOCATION: 1321 & 1341 – 7 th Avenue

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Parcel B (Being a Consolidation of Lots 2 and 3, See CA9147328), Block 107, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan 902

PURPOSE: The proposed variance will reduce the off-street parking requirements related to the development of a mixed-use building proposed on the subject lot by varying Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 as follows: i. Part 5 – Off Street Parking and Loading: Reduce the total number off-street parking spaces from a total of 32 off-street parking spaces to a total of 17 off-street parking spaces.
