Public Notice - Development Variance Permit No. 498

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-498 at a Regular Meeting of Council on MONDAY, AUGUST 9, 2021, at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3 rd Avenue, Fernie, BC.

To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192. In-person meeting attendance is unavailable at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 1, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan 5471
PURPOSE:The purpose of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-498 is to allow the applicant to build a covered stairwell accessing the basement of the single-family dwelling located on the Subject Lot by varying Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 as follows: I. Section 3.7.4(c): Open Porch, Marquee and Canopies projection into the required setback from 1.8 metres into the front-yard setback To: 4.4 metres into the front-yard setback
