Public Notice - Development Variance Permit No. 479

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-479 at a Regular Meeting of Council on MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2021 at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC.

To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192. Inperson meeting attendance is unavailable at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.

LOCATION: Strata Lots 1-6, Morrisey Court
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Strata Lots 1-6, District Lot 4589, Kootenay District, Plan EPS7509
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Development Variance Permit is to grant the applicant a reduction in the setback from the exterior parcel line of a bareland strata development on the subject lot by varying Section 3.7.7(a) of the City of Fernie Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 as follows (Figure 1): i. From 7.5 metres to 1.5 metres along the side (east) strata property line of Strata Lot 6. ii. From 7.5 metres to 6.0 metres along the front (east) strata property line of the bareland strata common property adjacent to Strata Lots 1-6 iii. From 7.5 metres to 1.5 metres along the side (east) strata property line of Strata Lot 1.
