Notice of Public Hearing - Bylaw No. 2447

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing has been scheduled for MONDAY, November 22, 2021 at 7:00 PM at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC so that Council may hear representations from persons who believe their interest in property is affected by a proposed amendment to Zoning Bylaw No. 1750.  

To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192.  In-person meeting attendance is unavailable for the public at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.  

Location: 1341 – 10th Avenue

Legal Description: Lot 3, Block 110, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan 902

Bylaw: Bylaw 2447, cited as Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 Amendment Bylaw No. 251, Bylaw No. 2447, 2021

Purpose: The applicant wishes to rezone their property from R2 – Duplex Residential to R1B – Single Detached Plus Residential. This would allow the applicant to build a secondary detached dwelling unit in the future.
