Notice of Public Hearing Bylaw No. 2416

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a public hearing has been scheduled for MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 2021 at 7:00 PM at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3 rd Avenue, Fernie, BC so that Council may hear representations from persons who believe their interest in property is affected by a proposed amendment to Zoning Bylaw No. 1750.

To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by in-person and electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192. In-person meeting attendance is unavailable at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 1, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan NEP22218
BYLAW: Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 Amendment Bylaw No. 233, Bylaw No. 2416, 2020
PURPOSE: The purpose of this bylaw is to rezone the subject property (21 Elkview Crescent) from R1 – Single Family Residential to R1B – Single Detached Plus Residential. The proposed rezoning would give the property owner the option to construct a secondary detached dwelling unit on the subject lot.

 

PROVIDE YOUR COMMENTS: This Notice is published in accordance with Section 467 of the Local Government Act. Public participation in this Public Hearing will be conducted by written submission, and electronic & in-person means. COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place for all Council meetings, including physical distancing and in-person capacity limits.
