Notice of Public Hearing Bylaw 2395

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a public hearing has been scheduled for MONDAY, APRIL 12, 2021 at 7:00 PM at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC so that Council may hear representations from persons who believe their interest in property is affected by a proposed amendment to Zoning Bylaw No. 1750.

To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192. In-person meeting attendance is unavailable for the public at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.

LOCATION: 190 – Whitetail Drive
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 1, District Lot 4589, Kootenay District, Plan EPP17633 BYLAW: Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 Amendment Bylaw No. 225, Bylaw No. 2395, 2020 PURPOSE: The applicant wishes to text amend the CD3 zone to include the following changes: • Include Residential Rental Tenure as a Permitted Use (minimum of 32 Residential Rental Tenure Units) • Minimum Density of 60 units per hectare • Updated Off-Street Parking Requirements based on unit sizes • Updated maximum height regulations ranging from of 15.0 metres to 18.0 metres.
