Notice of Waived Public Hearing Bylaw 2409

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the City of Fernie pursuant to Section 464 (2) of the Local Government Act has waived the holding of a Public Hearing in relation to proposed Bylaw 2409, an amendment to Zoning Bylaw 1750. Bylaw 2409 is consistent with the City of Fernie Official Community Plan Bylaw 2231. The Local Government Act allows for the waiving of public hearings in relation to zoning bylaws that are consistent with a municipality’s Official Community Plan.
Council will consider Third Reading of Bylaw 2409 at a regular Council meeting scheduled for MONDAY, AUGUST 10, 2020 at 7:00 PM at the FERNIE COMMUNITY CENTRE located at 902 Highway 3, Fernie, BC. To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192. In-person capacity is limited, and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the City’s livestream or archived recordings.
