Notice of Public Hearing February 24

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing has been scheduled for MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers at Fernie City Hall, located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie BC so that Council may hear representations from persons who believe their interest in property is affected by proposed amendments to Zoning Bylaw No. 1750.



RR – Rural Residential Zoned Properties in the City of Fernie

(as identified on the City of Fernie Zoning Map in Zoning Bylaw No. 1750)

Legal Description:



Zoning Bylaw No. 1750, Amendment Bylaw No. 221, Bylaw No. 2392, 2019


PURPOSE:  The purpose of Bylaw No. 2392 is to amend the text in Section 4.2.10 of Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 to:

  • Amend the minimum side yard setback regulation for principal buildings in the RR – Rural Residential Zone from 7.5 metres to 3.0 metres
  • Amend the minimum side yard setback regulation for accessory buildings (including Secondary Dwelling Units) in the RR – Rural Residential Zone from 7.5 metres to 3.0 metres
