Notice of Development Variance Permit - Public Input

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider Development Variance Permit No. 465 (841– 7th Avenue), Development Variance Permit No.466 (1191 - 8th Avenue) and Development Variance Permit No.467 (1351 - 1st Avenue) at the Regular meeting MONDAY, July 13, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 501-3rd Avenue, Fernie BC.

All persons wishing to provide comments about the proposed Develpment Variance Permits may provide written comments by:

Written submissions must be received no later than 4:00 PM July 13, 2020 in order to ensure their availability to Council at the meeting.All submissions are public information pursuant to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and must include your name and street address, will form part of the public record and will be published in the meeting agenda.   

Development Variance Permit No. DVP-465 (841– 7th Avenue) proposes to vary the setback and parking requirements of Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 to allow construction of an office with two dwelling units.

Development Variance Permit No. DVP-466 (1191 - 8th Avenue) proposes to vary the porch projection in the front setback, as outlined in Zoning Bylaw No. 1750, to allow for construction of an open porch. 

Development Variance Permit No. DVP-467 (1351 - 1st Avenue) proposes to vary the setback requirements of Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 to add a second storey to an existing dwelling.
