Development Variance Permit No. 473

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-473 at a Regular Meeting of Council on MONDAY, December 14, 2020 at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3rd Avenue.

To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by in-person and electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192.

In-person meeting attendance is unavailable at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings. 

LOCATION: 1161 – 2nd Avenue
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 7, Block 36, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan 734A PURPOSE: The proposed variance will allow for the construction of an 11.05m2 second-storey deck to be attached to the single-family dwelling unit on the subject lot by varying the City of Fernie Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 as follows:
• Section 4.2.1.4.1.4: Maximum Parcel Coverage (All Structures) From 35% To 36.8%.
