Notice of Intention to Provide Assistance Under a Partnering Agreement

Notice is hereby given that Council of the City of Fernie intends to enter into a partnering agreement pursuant to S. 21 of the Community Charter, the terms of which would provide assistance to Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. (RCR) for the provision of a municipal service, being the operation of two City of Fernie owned buses for a Winter Shuttle Service between the City and Fernie Alpine Resort for the 2019/20 operating (ski) season. The consideration to be received by the City for the proposed use of the two buses to provide the Winter Shuttle Service is $10.00 per month plus Goods and Services Tax and Provincial Sales Tax, as applicable. The RCR shall be responsible for certain operating and maintenance costs and the City of Fernie will be entitled to any operational surplus and responsible for any loss arising from the operation of the service.

This notice is given in accordance with Section 94 of the Community Charter.
