Notice of Informal Hearing October 15

Public notice is given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider Development Variance Permit No. 450 at the regular meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, City Hall.
Location: 391 - 5th Avenue
Purpose: The applicant wishes to allow for the siting of a sundeck and stairs that were built this past summer without a permit by varying the City of Fernie Zoning Bylaw as follows:
Section 3.7.4(a) Steps Projection:
- From 1.2 metres to 3.85 metres into the front-yard setback
- From 1.2 metres to 1.47 metres into the side-yard setback
Section 3.7.4(d) Sundeck Projection:
- From 1.3 metres to 1.4 metres into the front-yard setback
- From 1.3 metres to 1.47 metres into the side-yard setback

All persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and to present written submissions on this matter. A copy of the City of Fernie Zoning Bylaw No. 1750, Development Variance Permit and other relevant documents may be viewed at City Hall, 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from October 3, 2019 - October 15, 2019 (excluding weekends and statutory holidays), or online at www.fernie.ca
