Fernie Livability Report
Intended as a long-term initiative, the Fernie Quality of Life and Liveability initiative is embedded in the City’s Official Community Plan (OCP) Vision Statement which is:
To work toward a sustainable population who will enjoy a quality of life that is planned and managed in a manner compatible with the surrounding natural environment. This quality of life will be based upon employment and social opportunities for all skill levels in all sectors, affordable housing, quality education, a convenient and efficient transportation network, enhanced cultural and heritage amenities, and optimal recreation opportunities.
The Fernie Liveability Report sets out performance results against the indicators listed in the Quality of Life Index.
