2022 General Local Election
On Saturday, October 15, 2022, Fernie residents will vote to elect 1 mayor, 6 councillors and 1 school trustee (for School District 5). The mayor, elected councillors and school board trustee will serve a four-year term from November 2022 to November 2026.
Voting Dates
Voting will take place at the Fernie Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre (562 - 3rd Avenue) from 8 am to 8 pm.
Advance Voting:

General Voting Day:
- Saturday, October 15

Candidate nomination packages will be available online and at the Office of the City Clerk at City Hall in early August 2022.
In compliance with the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act, candidates are required to submit their financial disclosure documents to Elections BC for verification and publication. Campaign Financing Disclosure Statements can be viewed online at Elections BC, when available.
