Notice of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-625

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-625 at a Regular Meeting of Council on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fernie Senior Citizens Drop In Centre located at 562 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC.  Council meetings are available for all members of the public to attend or watch electronically via a Zoom webinar link posted to the City of Fernie website prior to each meeting. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot A, Plan NEP60850, District Lot 4589, Kootenay Land District

PURPOSE: The proposed variance will allow for a 3-building apartment development on the subject lot by:

A copy of the proposed development variance permit and other relevant documents may be viewed on our “Latest News” page on the City website at www.fernie.ca and in person at City Hall, located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.

Public participation will be accepted through written submission and must be submitted before 2:00 p.m the day of the Council Meeting where the DVP will be considered by any of the following formats:
