National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The City of Fernie is honoured to be joining Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it Administration for a morning of reflection and remembrance on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

September 30 is a day to honour the children who never returned home, the Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, and to recognize the inter-generational impacts of residential schools.

Please join us for this important event at City Hall, starting at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 30th.
