Aquatic Centre Reopened

Update: The Aquatic Centre is now open.
The Aquatic Centre closure is being extended until Thursday, May 4 due to delays with the arrival of the parts required for the boiler repairs.
The pool has been unexpectedly closed since an overnight water leak in the mechanical room last week damaged the boilers for both the main pool and the leisure pool.
Public programming participants, and members of the public with bookings scheduled during the closure are being notified.
We will continue to provide updates as they are available, and thank you for your patience while we complete these emergency repairs.
Aquatic Centre Reduced Operating Hours: Due to staffing issues, the City has temporarily reduced the operating hours at the Aquatic Centre. These changes predominantly impact our early morning and daytime swim programs.
May 5 – May 14, hours will be as follows:
- Monday 4:00-9:00pm
- Tuesday-Thursday 6:30am-8:00am and 4:00-9:00pm
- Friday 6:30-8:00am and 1:00-8:00pm
- Saturday and Sunday closed
We anticipate returning to our regular facility hours on May 15. Visit fernie.ca/recreation for up-to-date pool schedules.
