Apply to be the next Youth Councillor

Are you passionate about community involvement? Do you want to make positive changes in your city? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Grade 11 or Grade 12 student to be the next City of Fernie Youth Councillor.
The Youth Councillor is a one-year volunteer position that will bring a youth perspective to Council matters and discussions, engage with local youth to learn about important issues and help raise awareness of city operations and activities. To learn more about the role, click here.
This one-year volunteer role will be provided with a $1,000 scholarship and have the opportunity to attend the BC Youth Parliament in Victoria, BC in December 2023.
