Public Notice - Development Variance Permit No. 502

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-502 at a Regular Meeting of Council on MONDAY, APRIL 11th, 2022, at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC.

Regular Council meetings are available for all members of the public to attend electronically via a Zoom webinar link posted to the City of Fernie website prior to each meeting. Council Meetings can also be viewed via a Facebook live stream from the City of Fernie Facebook page.

Location: 24 – Elkview Crescent

Legal Description: Lot 20, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan 6640

Purpose: The proposed variance will allow the applicant to build a detached garage on the subject lot by varying Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 as follows:

i. Vary Section Front-Yard setback (Accessory Building) From: 7.5 metres To: 5.8 metres
ii. Vary Section Maximum Height (Accessory Building) From: 5.0 metres To: 6.1 metres
