Notice of Public Hearing - Bylaw No. 2454

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing has been scheduled for MONDAY, February 28, 2022 at 7:00 PM at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC so that Council may hear representations from persons who believe their interest in property is affected by a proposed amendment to Zoning Bylaw No. 1750.  

To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192.  In-person meeting attendance is unavailable for the public at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.  

Location: 15 – Park Crescent

Legal Description: Lot A, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan NEP85739

Bylaw: Bylaw 2454, cited as Zoning Bylaw No. 1750, Amendment Bylaw No. 254, Bylaw No. 2454, 2021.

Purpose: The applicant wishes to rezone their property from R1 – Single Family Residential to R1B – Single Detached Plus Residential. The proposed zoning allows for a detached secondary dwelling unit, which the property owner hopes to construct in the future.
