Public Notice - Development Variance Permit No. 509

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-509 at a Regular Meeting of Council on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2021, at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC.
To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192. In-person meeting attendance is unavailable at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.
Location: 1480 McDonald Avenue
Legal Description: Lot 9, Block 1, District Lot 5455, Kootenay District, Plan 1613
Purpose: The proposed variance will legalize the existing accessory building and allow the applicant to add a shed-roof to the exterior of the existing accessory building located on the subject lot by varying Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 as follows:
- Vary Section 188.8.131.52: Side-Yard setback (Accessory Building) From: 10% of the length of the front parcel line (5.03 metres): To: 1.5 metres.
