Public Notice - Development Variance Permit No. 490

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-490 at a Regular Meeting of Council on MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2021 at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3 rd Avenue, Fernie, BC.
To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192. In-person meeting attendance is unavailable at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.
LOCATION: 602A – 6 th Avenue
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 10, Block 49, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan 734A, Except Parcel 1 (See 102488I)
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Development Variance Permit is to allow the applicant to close in a portion of the existing open porch attached to the house on the subject lot by varying the City of Fernie Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 as follows: i. Section 184.108.40.206: Front Yard Setback, Principal Building (South Property Line) From: 7.5 metres To: 3.34 metres ii. Section 220.127.116.11: Side-Yard Setback, Principal Building (East Property Line) From: 1.83 metres To: 1.51 metres.
