Notice of Public Hearing Bylaw No. 2421

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a public hearing has been scheduled for MONDAY, June 14, 2021 at 7:00 PM so that Council may hear representations from persons who believe their interest in property is affected by a proposed amendment to Zoning Bylaw No. 1750.
To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192. In-person meeting attendance is unavailable for the public at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.
LOCATION: Riverside Way / Rivermount Place / Zwaryk Road (No Civic Address)
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot B, District Lot 5237, Kootenay District, Plan EPP38092 BYLAW: Bylaw 2421, cited as Zoning Bylaw No. 1750, Amendment Bylaw No. 235, Bylaw No. 2421, 2021
PURPOSE: The applicant wishes to text amend the Zoning Bylaw to include a new zone titled R2-RS (Duplex Residential – Riverside). This new zone would allow duplexes and single-family dwellings with secondary suites. Duplexes would also be able to become Condo Hotels if stratified. The applicant further wishes to rezone the subject property from R1SL – Single Family Residential Small Lot to R2-RS – Duplex Residential Riverside.
