Notice of Public Hearing - Bylaw No. 2444

Notice is hereby givewn that a public hearing has been scheduled for MONDAY, November 8, 2021 at 7:00 PM at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC so that Council may hear representations from persons who believe their interest in property is affected by a proposed amendment to Zoning Bylaw No. 1750.  

To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192. In-person meeting attendance is unavailable for the public at this time and the public is encouraged to view meetings via the livestream webinar or archived recordings.

BylawBylaw 2444, cited as Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 Amendment Bylaw No. 249, Bylaw No. 2444, 2021

Purpose: The applicant wishes to rezone their property (67 Slalom Drive) from RMH – Manufactured Home Residential to R1SL – Single Family Residential Small Lot. It is the applicant’s intention to install a secondary suite in the basement of their existing home; this use is permitted in the R1SL zone, but not permitted in the RMH zone.
