Notice of Waived Public Hearing Bylaw No 2412

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the City of Fernie pursuant to Section 464 (2) of the Local Government Act has waived the holding of a Public Hearing in relation to proposed Bylaw 2412, an amendment to Zoning Bylaw 1750. Bylaw 2412 is consistent with the City of Fernie Official Community Plan Bylaw 2231.

The Local Government Act allows for the waiving of public hearings in relation to zoning bylaws that are consistent with a municipality’s Official Community Plan.

 

Council will consider Third Reading of Bylaw 2412 at a regular Council meeting scheduled for MONDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2020 at 7:00 PM at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3rd Avenue. To comply with physical distancing requirements, Council meetings are held by in-person and electronic means as authorized by Ministerial Order No. M192.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 1, Block 85, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan 902 BYLAW: Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 Amendment Bylaw No. 231, Bylaw No. 2412, 2020 PURPOSE: The purpose of this bylaw isto rezone the subject property (901 – 10th Avenue) from R1 – Single Family Residential to R1SL – Single Family Residential Small Lot. The proposed rezoning would give the property owner the option to subdivide the property into two lots in the future.
