Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider the issuance of Development Variance Permit No. DVP-482 at a Regular Meeting of Council on MONDAY, December 14, 2020 at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at FERNIE CITY HALL located at 501 – 3 rd Avenue.

LOCATION: 1521 – 2 nd Avenue
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot B, District Lot 4588, Kootenay District, Plan NEP90283 PURPOSE: The proposed variance will legalize the siting of the existing structure on the subject lot and decrease the minimum residential unit size needed to allow the principal building to remain as-is on the subject property by varying the City of Fernie Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 as follows:
• Section 220.127.116.11.1.3(a): Minimum Setback, Principal Building:
• Rear-Yard From 6.0m To 1.68m
• Side-Yard From 1.5m To 1.37m
• Section 18.104.22.168.1.9: Minimum Residential Unit Size, Primary Residential Unit From 75 sq. m. To 54 sq. m.
